  1. Some factors that may cause some government actions to outweigh the benefits could be that of an overuse of spending for unnecessary projects, or the government allowing funds to be spent on other things besides what they were donated for. One example of this can be when in an article about the wastes of government, it is known commonly that the government spends around $25 billion on unused or vacant federal buildings every year. This is important for people to be aware of these costs because their tax dollars are going into something that can't even make beneficial money to pay off all that spending the government does. The second example that can be shown of this is when lawyers were able to push the government to allow $13 million of the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund to be spent on building a museum celebrating the Army Corps of Engineers. This was also found in an article talking about the actions of government waste, and should be known by many people because while many were struggling to survive during and after that hurricane, they were having money that could be used to help them be spent on museums that is unnecessary instead. As you can see, there are so many factors out there that can prove the government's actions of spending money that end up outweighing the benefits in the end.
